Why is the beginner experience only $2?
Completely free appointments are often booked and then missed. The small $2 reservation helps protect two beginner lesson times for families who genuinely plan to attend while keeping the first step affordable. It is one $2 payment for the complete beginner experience, not $2 per lesson.
Is this a good fit if my child is shy, nervous, or brand new?
Yes. Both beginner lessons are designed to help children get comfortable at their own pace. Your child receives direct instructor attention, clear explanations, age-appropriate training, and encouragement.
Do parents stay during the beginner lessons?
Yes. A parent or guardian stays and watches both beginner lessons so you can see how your child is coached and how they respond.
What style of martial arts do you teach?
We teach the Cosens Martial Arts curriculum, our own system combining age-appropriate elements of striking, grappling, takedowns, movement, self-defense, and control, along with confidence, focus, discipline, coordination, and leadership.
What happens after the two beginner lessons?
If your child enjoys the experience, we will explain the age-appropriate program options. There is no obligation to enroll.
