g how many people do not know how to defend themselves. Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you feared for your safety? Wouldn’t it be nice to know you have the skills to avoid danger?
- Nearly 3 women are murdered by an intimate partner every single day. That’s just under 1,200 per year. Nearly one-third of women that are killed each year are due to domestic disputes.
- According to the National Crime Victimization Survey, which includes crimes that were not reported to the police, 232,960 women in the U.S. were raped or sexually assaulted in 2011.
Men are typically stronger than women. But that does not mean they’re smarter! The skills you will learn with us at Cosens MMA will stay with you for the rest of your life. You will never have to be afraid of someone beating you up or taking advantage of you.
The moral of the story is that you need to learn how to defend yourself and keep your body in top notch condition.
This class consists of three elements:
- Kickboxing – Learn how to punch and kick. Learn how to defend against strikes.
- Self Defense – Learn where people/attackers are most vulnerable. Quick strikes, pressure points, points of escape, etc. The things we teach could save your life!
- Cardiovascular Health – At the end of every class we have a cardiovascular session. This typically consists of circuit training to get your heart pumping! We will get you in the shape that you want to be in.
What our current members love the most about this class is that there are only women in the class. You don’t have to worry about guys staring at you while you’re working out. We will get you where you want to be!
